Sunday night was magic.
Well not literally but we did
get to finally re-set our space.
It was time.
The winter blues needed to move on
so we brought a little spring,
a little love,
a little romance
into our little space.

I was in our space the other day
and wondered why there were still some of the most
fantastic vintage suitcases and trunks when
there are so many ways to use them.

In Mass....

I was in Santa Monica all last week for work
and a little bit of R&R.
Trust me the R&R was well deserved.
But that's boring.

The real reason for this post
is this amazing store we found on Abbot Kinney in Venice.
It was absolutely spectacular.
Pure candy for the eyes.

They have merchandising in mass down pat.
This place showed almost everything in multiples.
Multiple cake plates, pitchers, chandeliers,
linens, suitcases, tins and the list goes on.
It was beautiful.

I admit a little scary too since there really wasn't
much space to walk. You had to carry your purse
down at your side in extreme fear you would
send a pile of something crashing to the ground.
They had both vintage and reproduction.

I wish I could tell you their name.
It might be Bob's Hardware or that could have been
a sign out front for sale, who knows.
We couldn't find a business card either.
If you happen to know would you tell us.

Enough of me yammering
here are the pics.

Front of the store

Clear glass cake plates

Pink on the table, white in the wall

Green and turquoise gone wild
Ladies chatting

Blue stripes
Caged Pitchers
Take a seat

Tins galore

wrought iron chandeliers
It was a breathtaking store and insperational
to boot.

i seem to be infatuated with the color pink...
it might be because valentines is coming...
or the fact i need a little color in my life,
it has been awfully grey out side.
anyways i went looking for images that are just
pretty in pink....
and  found a few that spoke to my need for pink.

I have no idea why I thought of Laduree tonight
but for some reason it popped into my head.
Maybe it was the need for warmth and sweet,
maybe it's been the heavy doses of testosterone at work,
or maybe it's the thoughts of valentines approaching
and the need for pink and girly.

Either way I had Laduree on the top of mind.

If you have never heard of it or been there
it is pure confection not only for the tongue but for the eye.
It is this absolutely divine tea house in Paris.
They have them in several large cities and airports,
shoot you  can have them deliver to your private Lear jet
if in the UK ,
but they originated in Paris in 1862.

They are famous for their macaroons.
They are these beautiful and colorful
pops of deliciousness that
you can't find anywhere else.
The chose of flavors alone will make you swoon.
lavender, chocolate, espresso, caramel....

There packaging is pure girly.
Who wouldn't want a box that looked like this....

And let's not forget their interiors....
Pure delight....

Even there windows are like jewel boxes...

Hollywood has a bit of a love affair with them as well....

I wax on about a simple macaroon, it's place of pleasure
and a simple cup of tea.

Thank you for letting me indulge....
