With that being said I am heading to my studio today!

wall color...

my Mr. O has decided he wants to paint his music room.
i think it's a great idea since it's been the same color for 8 years...
a lovely English mushy pea green.
that sounds worse than it is, it's actually has a masculine elegance to it.

he's asked me my opinion (isn't that sweet, it's his room after all)
and i am going back in forth between
dark and mood or
light and airy.

we have a 1917 Arts & Crafts bungalow so the rooms
are on the smaller side but lots of windows and detail.

now imagine a room with a big leather chair (this belongs to the dogs),
mahogany bookcases and a sheet music cabinet and the piano.
in all of this is stacks and stacks of music books and sheet music.
of course a bust of beethoven sits on top of the piano overseeing it all.

now that you have a picture in your head here are a couple of examples
of wall colors i am thinking:

keep in mind there is little wall and a lot of doors and windows.

busy....

only home two days and i have to tell you

i have been quite the busy bee

getting things spruced up, organized and set up

for our very first 

Carriage House Vintage Market

to celebrate our first birthday.

it has been a long list of to do's....

but i am checking things off

and seeing a shorter list to face.

my husband has been a huge help

and i have to say it would be so much more

stressful and definitely less fun with out his support.

tomorrow the real fun starts.

i get to do one of the parts

i love to do...

the set up!

i admit i am very excited

but have to admit a little nervous.

it's kind of like planning a party

and worrying no one will come

one of those deep, dark fears

from childhood.

no one will like you or even worse

no one picks you to be on their team.

i know it will be all fine but still,

there is that little nagging feeling.

what ever happens will happen

and it will be all good.

if nothing else we will have some good 

ol' fashion vintage fun.

See you all either Friday or Saturday

or even better yet both days.

bring a friend or two.

Sun....

Rain, Rain go away....

I am so tired of the rain.

We have broken all kinds of records

around rain fall, number of rainy days,

days with out hitting 60....

So many records and one's 

we really are quite tired of breaking.

We are so lucky in Oregon,

we can flush our toilets as much as we want

cause we are never without rain.

I know I should not complain but

should be thankful we don't have a drought

but I have to tell you it would be nice

to see a little sun. 

A day or two a  week would be the break

we all need to dry out,  just a little.

We have a bunch of furniture that 

needs cleaned, refinished or painted

and I have to tell you this rain isn't helping.

I know we will see the sun again soon

but it couldn't get here soon enough.

Ok, I promise to stop kavetching

and go take my Vitamin D.
