The bearded man...

I live in the Northwest where beards reign. They don't do much for me but I know many a woman who swoon for these bearded men. My dad had a beard for most of my young childhood and I use to love to play with it and was heart broken when he shaved it off. Who knew he was so hip.
What do beards do for you?

Oscars....

Tonight is Oscar night...
not that, that means much to me....
because you see I don't get to the movies often.
I have only seen one of the the 9 movies up for best film
and I don't think I could even list what they all are.
Shoot, I'm not even sure if there are 9.

The one thing I do like about watching the Oscars
is the red carpet.
It's really all about the fashion.

Here are a few dresses I would wear to the Oscars
if I was so inclined to attend (heehee)...

and the Oscar goes to....

fashion....

i have a very LARGE soft spot
for fashion,
not just any fashion but
the extraordinary
and
the vintage.

if my life was the type
that i could "dress"
everyday i would.

oh, to wear beautiful dresses,
hats and amazing heels.
mmm.....

of course i would still need a day
or two in jeans and leather.

it's the devil and angel thing....
tattoos and denim on one side,
pink cocktail dresses and killer heels on the other.

the extraordinary....

 denim....

the leather....

the heels....

the vintage....
i'm so close to having this look in
my closet.
i just need the extraordinary.

dresses....

my husband and i went to a local
bakery for breakfast this morning
and then decided since the sun was finally
out we would walk the neighborhood
around the bakery.
while checking things out i saw from across the
street the most beautiful dress in a window.
of course, i shouted out we had to cross the street now!

my husband insisted we cross at the corner.
sometimes  his sense of adventure makes to much sense.
i agreed i could wait until we reached the corner
but trust me when i say, once across the street
i forgot there was anything else to look at
and bee lined straight for the shop window.

oh my!

it was a girls vintage dress wet dream!
this sweet little shop is what i dream of when
i think about my ideal walk in closet.
oh to only have a 26" waist.

the shop has a funny little name but
the contents make up for it.

here are a few of the dresses she has:

i would love to see.
i have a passion for old and vintage
costumes and fashion and when i saw the images
from this show i couldn't believe they weren't
silk, damask and  velvet but paper.
