Redecorating....

i had been wanting to spruce up our living room

for awhile but just didn't feel inspired or creative.

inspiration hit on sunday.

here is how it turned out.

they came from our yard, my mom's and father-in-law.
they are in season and i love the shapes and colors.
why not, right?

i am quite happy with it and my husband loves it to.
sometimes you just have to go with it when inspiration hits.

Friends....

friends....

saturday was filled with friends.

it may have not been what we all had hoped

from a attendance percpective

but i have to say it was filled with

friends....

one of the greatest gifts we can recieve.

and their loving and supportive husbands and boyfriends.

with out friends we are only half of what we can be.

Friday....

I know it's only the first night 

but I just couldn't wait to show you all

what wonderful vintage finds

we had going on here at,

Carriage House Vintage Market!

These girls pulled out all the stops 

and brought it.

Denise of Junque Soiree

brought the most delightful, creative  treasures.

This women has some talent!

Everything was just perfect in her space.

 Melanie of 

All My Favorite Things

really did bring all my favorite things.

She has the cozy arbor space (she isn't so fond of the sun)

and did an amazing job turning my arbor into magic.

Then there was that Bee & Mason girl 

(that's me)

I had so much fun getting the garage turned into

something vintage (other then it's age)

and spilling out into the veggie garden.

Then there is Amy of 

Poppy & Ivy.

Sorry, I have only one picture. 

Our sweet Amy had to take a break from setting 

up to feed a couple of teenagers at home.

More tomorrow of her goodies.

As usual she had her space set up in 15 minutes.

I really don't know how she does that.

Can you say "Bewitch"?

And here we are in all of our 

Greta Garbo style.

 Tomorrow it will be more vintage

from 10-4.

So, come on by grab a cupcake 

and do some junquing with

4 gals who truly heart vintage finds.

(make that 5, my momma will be in the house too!)

Sneak Peak....

i am so excited for tomorrow night.

we got the garage ready to be set up

and my sweet husband did a few repairs

and got the lawn mowed.

i thought i would tempt you 

with a little sneak peak

busy....

only home two days and i have to tell you

i have been quite the busy bee

getting things spruced up, organized and set up

for our very first 

Carriage House Vintage Market

to celebrate our first birthday.

it has been a long list of to do's....

but i am checking things off

and seeing a shorter list to face.

my husband has been a huge help

and i have to say it would be so much more

stressful and definitely less fun with out his support.

tomorrow the real fun starts.

i get to do one of the parts

i love to do...

the set up!

i admit i am very excited

but have to admit a little nervous.

it's kind of like planning a party

and worrying no one will come

one of those deep, dark fears

from childhood.

no one will like you or even worse

no one picks you to be on their team.

i know it will be all fine but still,

there is that little nagging feeling.

what ever happens will happen

and it will be all good.

if nothing else we will have some good 

ol' fashion vintage fun.

See you all either Friday or Saturday

or even better yet both days.

bring a friend or two.

4 days....

i'm back and raring to go.

we have 4 days until our first

Carriage House Vintage Market

to celebrate our very first birthday

and there is so much to do!

 but i'm excited and can't wait until Friday.

i came home with some new goodies

found at Gold Rush in Oronoco

and a few great little shops like Haupt Vintage

and some amazing garage sales out in the country.

i admit i left so much behind because the rule was

if it didn't fit in my suitcase it couldn't come home with me.

next time it might just need to be a truck.

i'm degressing!

back to the long laundry list of things to do.

question....

Question.....

i am off to Oronoco Gold Rush in Minnesota

next week and would love to have the freedom

to buy what ever i can't live with out but

here is the rub....
how do i get it home?

i am wondering if any of you have shipped
items you found at a flea market some where other
than home?
if so how did you get it home?

any advice is welcome.

there is such wonderful stuff to be found
in the midwest i would hate to have to leave it behind.

i  just didn't feel right about it.

so i redesigned it and came up with

three options.
