Maps...

My dad collected old antique maps of the Netherlands,
which is where he was from.
They now happily sit on my fireplace mantel and
travel through out the house depending on my mood.
They tell a story all on their own...
and if you have a hankering to roam the world but
just don't have the time or money to do so you can
get lost in a map and make up a story of dream traveling.

hiding your tv....

i think one of the most pain in the butt
aspects of decorating a space
is the tv.
tv's are not pretty things, you would
think with today's technology and desire
to incorporate them into our everyday lives
in our homes they would find ways to make
them look more like beautiful pieces of furniture
versus a big rectangular black shape.

there are some easy ways though you can
incorporate them into your space
without feeling like they are the center piece
or taking over all the hard work you put into
making a beautiful and comfortable place to live.

add them to a gallery display of favorite art....

wall....

I've blogged about walls before....
the thing is though, I have been obsessed
lately about them.
maybe it's a Spring thing....
not really sure but here are a few ideas
I've been mulling over....

floating shelves with black and white art....

family pics....

art gallery....

little of this, little of that....

mirrors....

mixed media....

When you come right down to it,
anything goes on a wall.
You just have to remember to have fun
and reflect what you love....
