Barn House

Wow, I only have one thing to say about Barn House
OMG!!!!!
What an experience, everything was beautiful and the people were so nice.
I found a couple of gems to take home, which I have to say I don't have pictures of
but if you stop by the shop after tomorrow you can see them.
The highlight of the day was meeting Liz from Seabold
and picking up my gift.
I won one of Liz's signature Cross pillows which if you don't have one you
are going to want one.
Not only did she give me the pillow but she blessed me with great advice.
Thanks Liz!
I am attaching some pictures from today.
Had to add to the Mason jar pictures.

inspiration

I found this beautiful picture of mason jars on the blog Brock Street. She took the picture in her house. I love the light and the greens. I think I might need to start collecting images of mason jars. They remind me of many summers in hot, steamy kitchens with my mom and my grandma.

Summer

Made Marion berry jam. Well, I should say I made a jar of jam. It was as easy as 123. Who knew. I have this old home canning book and the directions took all of 9 minutes. I was so proud of myself. Put it up in a mason jar. It looks so pretty, the dark purple of the jam.  Can't wait to eat it. I'll let you know how it is.

Ciao

Learning

Well as it gets closer to opening day I continue to get things ready. Last night I spent a couple of hours trying to teach myself indesign so that we can get our logo, business cards ect. designed. User friendly isn't the first two words that come to mind but  I did figure out a couple of things. Oh well, that's the fun of it all. Will work some more on it tonight. Wish me luck.
Till later.

Francisca

Blog: Day one

Well, here it goes, my first time blogging. Weird. Never thought it would be me, but I'm excited because my girlfriend Meeghn and I are starting a new adventure together and it's called Bee & Mason.
We have been estate sale buddies for several years now and finally decided that we should do something about our habit.
We are pooling our collection of goodies together and opening a booth at Found on Fremont. This will give us an outlet for our habit. We love to junk and the better the deal, the better the goody, the happier we are. Really, it's that easy to put a smile on our faces.
Our space is scheduled to open the week of August 2nd. We will let you know when it is officially ready to be shopped. Meanwhile Meeghn is off to New York for work and hopefully a little shopping while I am heading North to the Barn House and Vintage Gatherings in Battleground next weekend.
Stay tune!
Ciao,
Francisca
